Sometime during my early high school years, I got a little point-and-shoot camera so I could take super cool myspace photos - duh. And what started out as a chance to capture memories with friends, turned out to be something I was actually pretty good at. By my sophomore year, Sophia Danielle Photography (though it went by a different name) was born!
Long story short, I went into full-time photography after graduation, loved it, hated it, took every kind of client that came my way, got a 9-5, got married, and simply... burnt out.
After years of living without photography, I took on a project with a friend (see Atlas Hands in my portfolio) and my love for this medium of art was reignited! I began to dream up what I could do as a photographer that would bring me passion, excitement, and joy. I quickly landed on this: I want to capture the magic of womanhood. I want to spend my days hearing the stories that shape us, capturing the moments that change us, and showing the world the incredible things that can come from it all. I hope you are the next story I get to tell!
I love: my husband, my pups, Jesus and His people, traveling, Gilmore Girls, Jonas Brothers, trying new foods, the ocean, Christmas, and a reallyyy crispy Coke Zero on a hot day...

Dani and I have been married for 6 years in February 2024!
We have a long and unique story that I would be happy to tell you all about sometime if you want to hear it. But what you need to know now is that this man is my biggest supporter!!! He has cheered me on, sacrificed his own desires, stayed up late with me while I edit, gone on photoshoots with me, and so much more without a single complaint. He sees the vision and he runs with me! I am truly so thankful for him!
Yes, you read that right:
my PSYCHO dogs. Emphasis on psycho!
Okay, okay, they are also sweet and funny and my lil furbabies that I simply cannot imagine my life without! On the left is Pepper, our rescue, who is the embodiment of that song, "oh, she's sweet, but a psycho". Do you get it yet? PSY.CHO.
And on the right is Azul. AKA Azulybear. AKA my little good boy. We got him at 6mo old and he is thankfully much less psycho. ;) They are both Australian Cattle Dogs (Blue Heelers)!
Aye, lassie!! I love Scotland! And not just because I saw Outlander (I haven't...oops!) or like Harry Potter (I don't...yikes, don't hate me!), but because it is truly my heritage! My lovely Momma was born in Scotland and lived there till she married my Dad and moved to the US in her 20s. Now, all these years later, my parents and my brother live in Stirling, Scotland and I miss them terribly. Thankfully, I am a British Citizen, so it makes it really easy to hop the pond and visit whenever I can! If you have never been to Scotland, I cannot recommend going enough!!! It is so enchanting.
You will LOVE it! Promise!
Call me a girl's girly, but there is almost nothing I love more than curating an amazing playlist, decorating a beautiful space, planning a scrumptious menu, and bringing together a community of women for intentional conversations and joy-filled fun!!! In another life, I would be a party planner, but since we are in this one, I will settle for hosting and co-hosting Galentine's Parties, Supper Clubs, Movie Nights, and literally whatever else we all want to do!
LET'S PARTY! You're Invited ;)
